One Dying Voice

I have come across many people who seem down about life. Many decide to go see the doctor and grab some prescriptions rather than evaluating the source of the depression. Personally I was unhappy with my life and used alcohol to cover the daily negative emotions that I was feeling. Whether you use drugs or alcohol the reasons behind the depression will not go away unless you make the changes necessary in your life. This can be done with exhaustive evaluation of ones self.

First I looked at my goals and discovered that they would provide financial gain, but other than that they were empty. The first was finishing school which would lead to a better job and the reason i wanted a better job was not to provide more assistance to the world around me, but rather for a larger income. Another goal of mine was to run a successful online business which I did and surprisingly with the extra income I still did not find happiness. Those who are rich will tell you money can't buy happiness and those that are poor say the opposite. Now being on both sides I know for me money will not make the happiness I seek.

What I found to combat my depression and make me feel much better about myself was becoming someone with integrity and morals. Many people may laugh at this thinking the American dream is the only road to happiness and the people laughing will spend there whole lives miserable searching for that one magic dollar that will make the difference in their life. The story behind finding this is quite interesting. I was pulling into my apartment complex and this guy who looked pretty normal waved me down. I stopped rolled down the window (praying I would not get robbed) and asked what he wanted. He offered me 10 dollars to run him across the street. I abliged hesitantly, but it was storming so I agreed. On the way across we talked I introduced myself and he did the same.

Somewhere in the story he told me about his grandma always telling him at least he has his health and him joking about her no longer using this saying. I asked him what was wrong and he told me he was dying of bone cancer. Looking at him trying to move it was easy to see every little action was extremely painful. I dropped him off of course refusing the 10 dollars for the ride.

As I drove up to my apartment there was a significant change I felt to the world around me. Being/meeting with this person allowed me to place an actual value on what I had rather than what I wanted. Personally I have stared death in the face crashing my car at a hundred miles an hour and being flown to the hospital after an overdose, but nothing shook my foundation like talking to this man. The big difference is during my close calls I knew they were of my choosing where as this man was able to see his death coming know there was no way out and had absolutely nothing to do with it. My close calls I felt I retained power, but in his case there was absolutely nothing to do, but try and dull the pain while waiting for the inevitable.

Put your feet in this mans shoes and live one day in his life what would it be like? Wake up once knowing exactly how it will end. You pretty much know down to the day. What would you do? Perhaps sit back watch tv because every time you move you want to cry out in pain. I know many people have it bad, but not many can compare to this guy. Could we learn something from his pain give it a point or go along with the way we are living seeking the almighty dollar. Well if you would like a change in your life perhaps rethink what you are seeking and tomorrow rather than trying to grab another dollar see if you bump into someone that could really use your help and help them without any expectation of payment. See how you feel about yourself once you help freely.

Create an Online Business

The main thing people expect out of me is learning about online business. Years ago i began with something really quite simple and worked my way to the top of search engines for many keywords. This platform will be different, but I don't want to leave the people expecting online business with nothing. Like i said in the first post this blog will contain all of my writings not limited to one specific niche or aspect of my life.

To start an online business all you need is an idea, time, and a platform. There are many free places to get a platform, but before deciding on one you should do some research. Many of the websites offering free web space will have conditions and there will also be some that will ban your website if you pass a certain amount of traffic. Make sure you read all of the rules. Some of the better web hosts that I have come across include 000webhost.com, blogger.com, and wordpress.com. There are many more, but these are some of the main ones.

Many free web presences do not allow you to make money so will not work if you are wanting to build a business online. The free web presences that are listed above all allow you to create an income so should be considered when trying to start a business. Once you have a platform to build your online business it is time to start thinking of what your presence will be about. I do not recommend creating an open ended web presence, but rather something specific especially if you do not have any experience online. When choosing a niche which is the topic of your presence there are a couple things to consider. The first and more important thing to consider is how much you know about the given topic. Before you can be considered and expert you must know everything there is to know about the given topic. The second thing to consider is how popular the topic is. Creating a presence in a dead niche will mean very little traffic and therefore very little money.

The final aspect of online business which will be necessary is building free web traffic to your website. This should not be the primary reason for building your online business. The most successful online business professionals created a presence where they were allowed to express themselves on a topic they truly enjoyed. As visitors came to the website and read they quickly saw how much the owner enjoyed writing on the topic and had expertise. They wrote and wrote not seeing much in the first year, but the pure joy of sharing knowledge with their audience. They wrote everyday no matter how much traffic the post would bring and in the long run it is this that will separate the successful from the failures.

Starting Something New

Usually the first post is one of the most difficult but I already know what this post should be. I personally had hundreds of people going to my websites and blogs everyday then out of nowhere i disappeared. I was using hosting24.com for my websites and major blogs which claimed to have unlimited hosting, but i ended up causing a little too much cpu usage and my account with all my work washed down the drain. Both blogger and wordpress.com ended my websites and the only site that stood the test of time was Make Money Online Free. I find it interesting that i have had fewer problems with free hosting over at 000webhost.com compared with paying for my hosting.

Anyway i am back with new theories. After months of reflection on what went wrong I am choosing to turn away from the mmo world. If you have ever seen my blogs they were full of banners and ads. I wondered why i could not get any following and it hit me. My content is of excellent quality, but my site layouts are extremely spammy. With this blog i will let adsense do the work and let this be a place for my writing. I have no idea where this blog will go hopefully to the top, but rather than worry about how much money im making or the amount of people hitting my website I will focus on writing everyday and trying to produce the best possible content.

It feels good writing a post after taking almost half a year off I hope to see many of the people who were following me before and of course some new faces.
